Slippery roads around Saskatchewan after snow dusting

SASKATOON – The first taste of winter for 2013-14 is creating slippery road conditions in parts of the province.

Highways in the Prince Albert area are reported to have icy/slippery sections or wet subject to freezing with up to 4 cm of snow expected on Monday.

All highways in the Wakaw area are also reported to have icy or slippery sections.

South of Saskatoon, Highway 11 from Dundurn to Davidson along with all highways in the Kenaston area are wet subject to freezing.

In Regina, all highways there are reported to be wet subject to freezing including Highway 11 from Bethune into the Queen City.

Heading east, Highway 16 from Elstow to Dafoe is reported to have icy/slippery sections along with swirling snow.

In Saskatoon, light snow blanketed cars and the ground but that is expected to melt as the day progresses.
