The truck then lost control on a bend, flipping on its side and losing its logs. The logging truck also struck a northbound vehicle.

Police say the driver of the logging truck was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. The occupants of the vehicle struck by the logging truck were taken to the Whistler Health Care Center as a precautionary measure.

Highway 99, the Sea-to-Sky Highway, is currently closed through Whistler and traffic is being detoured at Nordic Drive. The road was re-opened at about 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
