Michael Vartan came to international acclaim with his starring role as Agent Michael Vaughn for five seasons on the critically acclaimed hit series Alias. He recently wrapped production in Detroit on the workplace comedy Demoted and the independent feature Jolene: My Life, based on a story from critically acclaimed author E.L. Doctorow.
Vartan’s big-screen credits include Rogue, opposite Radha Mitchell; Monster-in-Law, with Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda; One-Hour Photo, co-starring Robin Williams; and Never Been Kissed, with Drew Barrymore. He has also appeared in such films as The Myth of Fingerprints, It Had to be You, The Pallbearer and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.
Vartan’s television credits include Big Shots, Ally McBeal, Friends and Kitchen Confidential. For TNT, he played Sir Lancelot in the epic production The Mists of Avalon, opposite Angelica Huston, Julianna Margulies and Joan Allen.
Born in Paris, Vartan grew up in the tiny Normandy village of Fleury.
