TORONTO – Close to 25,000 runners from 60 countries will take part in this weekend’s Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon and this means a hefty chunk of road closures.
Drivers, public transit users and pedestrians should take note that no less than 35 roads and side streets will be closed for various periods of time beginning Saturday morning and into Sunday evening.

Last year, the marathon raise $4.3 million for over 180 charities in Canada.
In addition to the road closures, organizers have set up designated cheering and entertainment centres at different locations across the city.
