SASKATOON – Visitors at the Batoche National Historic Site in Saskatchewan got a short opportunity to see the Bell of Batoche.
The church bell, which made its public return to the province during a mass in Batoche over the summer, was on display at the site between Thursday and Saturday.

The bell was seized from Batoche’s church as a trophy of war by federal troops who put down the Northwest Rebellion of 1885.
It was stolen from an Ontario legion hall in 1991.
