Sea to Sky police and the Squamish fire department are investigating an overnight fire at the Chieftain Hotel on Cleveland Avenue in Squamish.
Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, police and fire crews responded to a call about smoke billowing out of an annex connected to the hotel by an overhead walkway. The fire, which damaged both the walkway and annex, was brought under control by fire crews before it could spread.
The hotel and the C-Level nightclub were both evacuated during the fire and there are no reported injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause.
RCMP ask anyone with information about the fire or who might have witnesses something suspicious to call Crime Stoppers or police at 604-892-6100.
