The latest statement from the city, which was issued Thursday afternoon, says the interruption along Pierrefonds Boulevard has ended. A boil water notice remains in effect.

“Urban agglomeration teams have carried out emergency work and have successfully repaired the water main,” the statment reads.

The boil water advisory affects residents on Pierrefonds Boulevard between St-Charles Boulevard and de Nanterre Street , as well as those living between Guillaume and Émile-Nelligan streets.

Authorities say residents should boil their tap water for at least one minute before consuming it in any way, including for brushing teeth.

“As soon as the situation is back to normal, a notice will be issued,” the city said.
