Province announces over $142 million for Calgary engineering school

CALGARY – The Alberta government has announced $142.5 million in funding to help expand the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary.

The announcement was made by Premier Alison Redford on Wednesday.

The contribution from the Alberta Government will help fund a $158.3 million expansion of the facility, which will house 400 additional spaces for engineering, undergraduate and graduate students.

The expanded engineering school will be ready for use in the fall of 2016.
