Charges have been laid against a 60-year-old Vancouver resident after a woman was attacked and sexually assaulted twice on on September 22.
Police say just after 10:30 p.m. a young woman was approached by a man as she walked along Alma Street near West 14th Avenue. The man allegedly grabbed her and groped her. She managed to break free only to have the man chase her for several blocks.

He then caught up to her on Dunbar Street near 18th Avenue, and again began to sexually assault her, ignoring her pleas to stop. She managed to fight him off and run away.
She called police, but despite an extensive search, officers were unable to find the suspect.
Over the next several days, investigators in the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit with the assistance of members of the new Community Safety Personnel conducted an extensive canvass for witnesses and video in an attempt to identify a suspect, and their hard work and persistence paid off.
Charges of sexual assault have now been laid against Bogdan Murawski. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 17 at 1:30 p.m. in Vancouver Provincial Court.
