Calgary man charged after two springtime robberies at TD bank

CALGARY – Police have arrested a 52-year-old man in connection to two bank robberies, earlier this year.

Both robberies were at the same TD Canada Trust, located at 1410 1st Street S.E.

In each robbery, one on April 20th and the other on June 15th, the thief said they had a weapon before demanding money.

Police have charged Robert Cecil Armstrong with three counts of robbery in connection to the April incident, in which three staff members were approached.

He has also been charged with one count of robbery in connection to the June incident.

He is scheduled to appear in court next on October 17th.
