17-year-old faces 43 charges after alleged graffiti spree

CALGARY – Police have laid dozens of charges against a 17-year-old in connection to graffiti found throughout the city.

Police say the graffiti caused $7,000 in damage to homes, businesses and public property.

The vandalism was found in the city’s southeast, southwest and downtown core between January and September 2013.

The accused, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with 43 counts of mischief under $5,000.
