Durham voters have elected Todd McCarty of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario as their MPP in the 2022 Ontario election on June 2.
The seat was previously held by Lindsey Park who was an independent MPP after leaving the PC caucus after the party accused her of “misrepresenting” her COVID-19 vaccination status in October 2021. Park has denied the allegation, calling it a “false statement.” Park sat as an Independent and is not seeking re-election.
