Constantly delivering memorable performances, Kyle Chandler has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after talents. Chandler currently stars as Eric Taylor in the critically acclaimed drama "Friday Night Lights."
In 2010, Chandler was nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Coach Eric Taylor.
Kyle was recently seen in "The Day the Earth Stood Still," co-starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. The film, directed by John Driscoll, is a remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film about an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart, who visit Earth.
Chandler’s other film credits include the thriller "The Kingdom" with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner, the box-office hit "King Kong," "Mulholland Falls," "Angel’s Dance," "Pure Country," and "The Color of Evening."
Chandler’s additional television credits include a memorable performance on the medical drama "Grey’s Anatomy" which garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Drama Series, as well as roles on "The Lyons Den," "Homefront," "Early Edition," "What About Joan," "Starring Pancho Villa as Himself" and "China Beach."
On Broadway, Chandler appeared as Hal Carter in "Picnic" opposite Ashley Judd.
A drama graduate from the University of Georgia, Chandler currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
