Matt Lauria joined the cast of the critically acclaimed drama series “Friday Night Lights” in its fourth season as Luke Cafferty, the well-mannered and charismatic running back for the East Dillon Lions.

Lauria’s television credits include "30 Rock," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and portraying Lindsay Price’s assistant, Roy, in the NBC drama series "Lipstick Jungle." He can currently been seen in Shawn Ryan’s ("The Shield") new drama "The Chicago Code" as Detective Caleb Evers.

Lauria received his B.F.A. in drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he performed in productions of "Romeo and Juliet," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," and "Habeas Corpus."Since graduating from UNCSA, Lauria has continued to pursue his passion for theatre, originating a role in the critically acclaimed play "An Upset," by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Auburn ("Proof").

In addition to acting, Lauria is an aspiring filmmaker. Through his production company, he directed the half-hour comedy "Who You Know." He is also an avid blues-rock guitarist.
