TORONTO – A female pedestrian is dead after she was struck by a tractor trailer in east-end Toronto Tuesday morning.
Police say the incident happened at 10:06 a.m. at the corner of Gerrard Street and Carlaw Avenue.

The woman, was riding a mobility scooter when she was fatally hit.
Authorities say the truck was attempting to turn when the victim was struck.
The intersection was closed for the investigation.
