Connector treacherous from snow

Connector treacherous from snow - image

A weather system has dumped several centimetres of new snow on the Okanagan Connector, Highway 97C, creating dangerous driving conditions Monday afternoon.

RCMP are reporting to three seperate accidents near the Elkhart lodge, where snow has covered the mountain highway.

Snowfall continues on the Connector. And while winter tires are not required in April, they’re recommended as conditions continue to change on the high elevation route.
