WHITEWOOD, Sask. – Two people were injured, one seriously, after a crash on Saturday afternoon near Whitewood, Sask.
Police say a van heading north on Highway 9 crashed into a southbound pickup truck approximately 16 kilometres north of the community.
The van had been stolen from a business in Whitewood shortly before the crash.
The driver of the van was trapped inside the vehicle and was removed from the wreck by people at the scene.
He was taken to a Regina hospital by STARS air ambulance with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup was not seriously injured.
Police continue to investigate and say charges are pending.
