Watch: Japanese tsunami brings more than just debris to B.C. shores

A delegation of Japanese officials has been on Vancouver island this week, sorting through debris that has crossed the Pacific since the devastating earthquake and tsunami in 2011.

The Japanese government has given Canada one million dollars to help with a cleanup that could span several years.

But it’s not just debris washing up on our beaches.

And even bigger problem might be the living creatures hitching a ride.
