REGINA – A Saskatchewan man is facing child sex charges after an alleged offence in the Middle Eastern country of Qatar.
40-year-old Bradley Raymond Chanin was arrested on Thursday at him home near Biggar, Sask. for sexual offences against a child under 12.
RCMP made the arrest after an investigation involving several RCMP departments, the Saskatchewan I.C.E unit and other policing units from around the world, including the Royal Thai Police.
Chanin is charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and making child pornography.
Chanin made his first court appearance on these charges Friday morning in Saskatoon.
This investigation was a result from a previous child pornography investigation in December 2012, when Chanin was charged with possession of child pornography. Sentencing on that charge is expected to happen on October, 23rd.
