Lonsdale Quay shut down due to police incident

North Vancouver RCMP have closed down Lonsdale Quay after a "suspicious object" was found in the area.

"Everyone should stay away from the area," said RCMP Const. Marlene Morton. Everything’s closed down until we can ensure public safety."

The SeaBus has also stopped services to the North Shore.

Morton wouldn’t reveal any further details.

Bus Bridges have been established for passengers travelling from the Lonsdale Quay to Waterfront and from Waterfront Station to the Lonsdale Quay as follows:

North Shore: Bus bridge established on Esplanade at the foot of Lonsdale for Waterfront Bound passengers.

Passengers leaving Waterfront Station bound for North Vancouver can board buses on Cordova St outside of the Station.

Transit Supervisor will be on site directing passengers to the appropriate locations. Buses are currently picking up and dropping off passengers on Esplanade outside of the Quay.
