Bombardier employee dies in work-related accident

MONTREAL – A 56-year-old Bombardier employee died on Monday morning in a tragic accident at a rail maintenance services site in Pointe St. Charles.

“The CSST is at the site,” confirmed Mark-Andre Lefebvre, a spokesperson from Bombardier.

“Bombardier is cooperating fully with the investigators.”

The man was declared dead at the scene and, according to Urgences Santé, emergency medical services personnel treated another employee for shock.

Quebec’s workplace health and safety board, were on-site on Monday afternoon to investigate the accident, CSST spokesperson, Dominique David confirmed.
