TORONTO – A grocery store clerk is recovering in hospital after a late night robbery in the city’s north end.
Police say a man walked into a Metro store shortly after 2 a.m. in the Bathurst and Sheppard area armed with a gun.

He then proceeded to pistol-whip the attendant before fleeing the scene.

Police aren’t revealing what the thief took.
The worker is being treated for minor injuries.
