13-year-old hit by a car, then thrown into a bus now in stable condition

A 13-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after being hit by a car at Cambie Street and 20 Avenue in Vancouver.

The boy was walking in an intersection at about 4 p.m. when he was hit by the car. The force of the collision was so great that he was thrown into a bus that was stopped nearby.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The boy’s condition has been upgraded to stable as of Wednesday morning.
