Bilodeau says the victim, a man in his 20s, has not yet been officially identified.

Laval police found the man, who was declared dead at the scene, after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in a residential neighbourhood.

Laval police said their investigators didn’t find any shell casings at the scene or traces of bullet impacts on nearby cars and homes.

Bilodeau say it’s too early to tell whether the murder is linked to several other recent shootings in the Montreal area that have also been tied to street gangs.
