The 13th Annual Toronto Chinatown Festival took place Saturday August 24th and Sunday August 25th along Spadina Avenue. The festival was presented by the Chinatown Business Improvement Area celebrating not only the Chinese culture but also the diversity within Toronto. Spadina Avenue was lined with international food booths and activities that attracted people of all ages. To go along with food, festival attendees enjoyed live singing and dancing performances on stage and a traditional lion and dragon dance parade. Global Toronto’s Queens Park Bureau Chief Alan Carter co-hosted the festival’s opening ceremony.

Global Toronto had a tent on-site that gave festival attendees an opportunity to have their photo taken on a unique festival background featuring Global Toronto’s Leslie Roberts and Liza Fromer. We also had colouring for kids as well as a traditional lion dance in front of our tent.
Global Toronto is a proud sponsor of the Toronto Chinatown Festival.
