CALGARY – Calgary police say they must rely on science to find answers in the deaths of Simmi Kahlon and three newborns.
They asked for continued understanding as the investigation charts difficult territory looking for those answers.
“What we do know is that the circumstances and details leading up to the death of Simmi Kahlon and the three newborns will rely heavily on science to give us that understanding,” said Insp. Guy Slater.
The bodies were found inside a home in the northeast Calgary community of Taradale on Oct. 4.
Police found the infants sometime after they were called to a rental suite in a home in the 200 block of Taracove Estates Drive N. E.
Officers first found the body of a woman, 27-year-old Harsimrat Kahlon, inside the house.
Until today, all investigators could say with certainty was they do not believe Kahlon was killed by someone else — though they are trying to determine exactly how she died.
