Flood relief information

To provide humanitarian assistance and relief to the victims of the recent flooding in Metro Manila, a group of concerned Edmontonians is organizing a flood relief drive from October 1 to October 31. We ask your kind donations in monetary form (cash, cheque or credit card). Please send your monetary donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society, specific for “The Philippines Flood Relief”. To create awareness of the disaster and to show our appreciation, we invite you to join us on Sunday, October 18 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M., at 3J Variety Store Ltd. at Heritage Lane, 10821 – 23 Avenue, Edmonton, for a day of entertainment and food. A Canadian Red Cross representative will be present to accept donations.

Much needed items include: clothes, blankets, towels, tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap, first aid items, canned food, etc. The drop off centre is located at 3J Variety Store at Heritage Lane, 10821 – 23 Avenue. All items will be sent to the Philippine Red Cross, ABS-CBN and GMA7 TV Networks in the Philippines for distribution to the victims.
