There have been no reports of injury in Canada, but Ikea has received seven reports globally where the metal rod connecting the guardrail to the bed frame has broken.

The broken rod can then expose sharp metal edges, presenting a possible laceration hazard.

Customers who have purchased beds made during these periods should immediately visit their local IKEA store for a free repair kit.
