EDMONTON – A man is in hospital after being found with severe facial injuries in an Edmonton bus shelter.

He was found by ETS security shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday morning in the area of 92 Street and 111 Avenue.  EMS were called to the scene and took the victim to hospital, where he is currently said to be in critical condition.

Later in the morning, police could be seen dusting for fingerprints and taking photographs of the bloodied bus shelter. They were also examining a nearby pay phone and trash bin.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking the public for help. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area between 12 and 6 a.m. on Thursday is encouraged to call police immediately at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
