A few weeks ago, Justin Goltz was named the team’s starting quarterback for the rest of the season – but has now been demoted to number three on the depth chart. Veteran Buck Pierce, who was the starter when the season began before being bumped down to third string, is now second in line, with former NFLer Max Hall Number 1. For how long is anyone’s guess.

Head coach Tim Burke said he played no part in the decision to name Hall the starter versus the Tiger-Cats. That decision, normally the head coach’s, was made by the offensive coaches. Meanwhile, former Tiger-Cats head coach Marcel Bellefuille has been added to the club’s offensive coaching staff.
