Winnipeg Police are on scene in the area of Carlton Street and Qu’Appelle Avenue Saturday afternoon, blocking a portion of the road.
Police say the presence is part of an ongoing assault investigation, and say one person was sent to hospital in unstable condition.
Traffic may be disrupted as a result and police are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
