The young boy was taken to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.

“Our community is rallying,” says Fort Saskatchewan Mayor Gale Katchur, “the prayers that have been going out on Facebook, people just being supportive, that’s once again the compassion of our community.”

“Our prayers and thoughts are with the family, with this young boy, and – of course – with our staff, because this can be very traumatizing for them as well.”

On Tuesday evening, the boy’s father told Global News his son was still in the ICU, and unresponsive.
