Season 11 of Big Brother began as expected, with an introduction of the 12 housemates, and I was into it from the get-go. It started off awesome.
And ended with the worst possible scenario. My number one arch-enemy (apart from last year’s winner – Dan – ) has returned to the house. Jessie, the meathead bodybuilder is the 13th houseguest.
I wanted to scream and give up on BB right there and then. But, alas, I continued.
Let me backtrack and give a quick summary of yesterday’s episode.
Julie showed off her bulging belly, and used the same old sayings she’s had for the past 10 years. We met the houseguests and found out that they would be going back to high school, dividing into cliques based on their personalities. We have the populars, athletes, brains and off-beat. They each went into their respective cliques and found out that when one of theirs wins a HoH competition, each member of that clique would be safe for that week – no eviction for them. That should be really interesting, if, let’s say, they start hating each other but can’t vote one another out of the clique.
First Impressions:
I am in love with Kevin. Everything he was saying cracked me up. I really like the off-beat clique and I think Lydia (tattooed lady) is down-to-earth and pretty cool.
I’ll probably eat my words later on in the game as their personalities show through more.
Ronnie is the annoying nerd who probably hasn’t even kissed a lady, but will get his chance to do so on BB.
And of course you have the bimbos and jocks whom I’m indifferent to because you know their type — they’re on every season of BB and bring on the same type of problems as their predecessors. This year it’s Laura, Jordan and Braden who are all in the Popular clique.
Natalie is the Kwon Do fighter who is in the athletes clique and has told everyone she’s 18. Big fat liar from the beginning. She can’t pull off 18 because she doesn’t even look that young. Good for Kevin for catching on to her bluff. 18??? Who are you fooling, lady?
It was all going so well, and then BB had to spoil it by bringing Jessie into the mix. Why would you do this to me, BB? Why? You know my passionate dislike of him.
It was between him, Brian, Cowboy and Jessica – all previous BB contestants — and his group (the athletes) won the HoH challenge so he got to come back into the game.
Who would you have liked to see come back? Email me your comments and I’ll post them up as they come in.
Spoilers:
It seems we have a showmance already. Lydia and Jessie. Lydia says she finds Jessie "attractive." I’m not even going to comment on this, I can’t.
Jessie is this week’s HoH and it seems he’s nominated Lydia and Chima. That showmance may not blossom, because Jessie is telling his teammates he wants Lydia out and not Chima.
Jordan and Lydia are already ally-ing up and plan to nominate Natalie if they win HoH next week.
