TORONTO – An elevator technician has died after falling down an elevator shaft in Toronto’s TD Tower Wednesday morning.
At 8:58 a.m., police were called to 66 Wellington St. W. It is unclear how far the man fell. "It sounds like a significant distance," Sgt. Tony Vella said.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
Eight people are still trapped in an express elevator.
