Firearms and drugs seized in New Brunswick RCMP operation

The West District RCMP have arrested three people and seized 17 firearms and several types of drugs following a drug investigation that began in January 2021, in Wilmot, N.B. New Brunswick RCMP

New Brunswick RCMP say three people were arrested and over a dozen firearms were seized in a drug investigation that began in January.

Last Friday, at around 6 a.m., RCMP and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a residence on Wilmot Road in Wilmot, N.B.

Police say they seized 17 firearms, crystal meth, various ammunition, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Three individuals were arrested at the scene: a 28-year-old man and 66-year-old man from Wilmot, and a 36-year-old man from Elmwood.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

“The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs,” RCMP said in a release.”Anyone with information about, or who suspects, illegal drug activity in their neighbourhood is asked to contact their local police.”
