Whistler Fire Rescue says every firefighter in the municipality was called to respond, as they worked to prevent the flames from spreading to two neighbouring properties and a nearby propane tank.

It’s believed the entire structure was destroyed, including metal scaffolding surrounding the building, which melted.

Whistler Fire Chief John McKearney said the fire started in the southwest corner of the house, and the cause remains under investigation.

Fortunately no one was injured.
