Rush performed a three-hour show for a sold-out crowd at the Centrium in Red Deer on July 24 and said all of their proceeds will be donated to flood relief efforts.

They raised $575,000 – and said $125,000 will go to the citizens of High River, $400,000 will go to the Canadian Red Cross and the remaining $50,000 will go to local charities.

“It is important to be a good neighbour in situations like these,” said Rush frontman Geddy Lee. “And we are very grateful that we were able to amass such a huge sum that will undoubtedly help many of our fellow Canadians in need.”
