While tradition dictates that news of the royal baby’s birth will first be announced on a small bulletin placed inside Buckingham Palace’s gates, the use of social media will also be important to announce this royal birth.
An announcement will be made on the British Monarchy’s official Twitter account – @BritishMonarchy.
A message will also be posted on the British Monarchy’s official Facebook page.
It is expected something will also be posted on the British Monarchy’s official website.
While it is not one of main accounts for the Monarchy, it is thought an announcement will also be made on the official Twitter account for Clarence House – @ClarenceHouse.
The account has already been sharing news of the Duchess of Cambridge’s admittance to hospital, and this was the first official Twitter account to announce William and Kate’s engagement.
It’s important to remember that until an official announcement is made in front of Buckingham Palace, or on the official social media accounts, ignore all rumours!
