Edmonton – A thunderstorm rolled through Edmonton and the surrounding area Monday morning.
The storm entered the Capital Region at around 6:00 a.m. Monday and lasted for about one hour.

Environment Canada lifted the thunderstorm warning for the Capital Region at around 7:00 a.m. Monday.
The storm carried strong winds, heavy rain, lightning and thunder.
The thunderstorm warning included the communities of Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Morinville, Mayerthorpe, Evansburg, Drayton Valley, Devon, Rimbey, Pigeon Lake, Leduc, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, and Tofield.
Global Edmonton’s weather specialist Mike Sobel says Edmonton could experience more thunderstorm activity later on Monday.
