23-year-old wanted on Nova Scotia-wide warrant taken into custody: RCMP

Nova Scotia RCMP say a 23-year-old woman wanted on a province-wide warrant has been taken into custody.

Vanessa Renee Lowe of Liverpool, N.S., is charged with assault and failure to attend court in connection with an incident in November 2017 in Liverpool.

The RCMP made several attempts to locate Lowe but requested assistance from the public on Tuesday.

Police say that Lowe was taken into custody without incident Tuesday morning.

She has since been released and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on Sept. 30.
