A car crashed through the window of a depanneur Thursday, sending a 49-year-old woman to hospital with minor injuries.
It happened in St. Michel just after 9 a.m. at the corner of 13th Avenue and Belair Street.
Police say it appears the woman drove straight into the store window, continuing forward until the car had completely entered the building.
Montreal police Constable Simon Delorme said collision specialists are investigating.
"We don’t see this kind of thing happen very often," he said.
"Was it a human mistake or a mechanical problem? This is what our investigators will try to find out," he continued.
There were no passengers in the car and no one else was injured.
