With over five years of local and national broadcast experience in weather, entertainment, and lifestyle programming, Michelle joined Global Toronto as Weather Specialist in August 2008.

She began her broadcasting career presenting the weather at The Weather Network in 2006, where she realized what a huge impact the weather makes on the day-to-day lives of Canadians. Always up for an adventure, Michelle jumped at the chance to join Global News in Calgary in 2007. There she spent a wonderful year exploring the beauty of the Rockies and the intricacies of Calgary’s very changeable weather climate. Highlights in Calgary included live coverage on the Spring 2008 flood in Southern Alberta, hiking up Heart Mountain with friends, and learning to smile through her first experience with minus 55 Celsius wind chill.

However, when the opportunity arose to return to her hometown and be a part of the Global Toronto team, it was an offer she couldn’t refuse. (And it also meant she wouldn’t have to hide the fact that she is a Leafs fan!)

Besides the weather, Michelle is passionate about travel, great food, film, theatre, sports, and fitness. She can often be found seeking out the “hidden gems” of Toronto’s many neighborhoods, planning her next trip or culinary adventure, and of course, spending time with her wonderful family and friends.
