CALGARY- Police have arrested three men in connection with a 2008 murder investigation.
Police say two men were arrested at separate locations in Calgary, while another man was arrested by members of the Osoyoos RCMP and Penticton Regional General Investigation Service in British Columbia. All three are now in custody in Calgary.
All three are facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the death of 21-year-old Juan Carlos Dequina. Dequina was found inside a Chevrolet Blazer by members of the Tsuu T’ina police service during a routine patrol in December 2008. He had been shot to death.
Police say he was not known to them prior to his death and had no ties to criminal activity. The suspects identies have not yet been released.
