Police investigating Saskatoon’s second murder of 2013

SASKATOON – A suspicious death is now being called a murder.

Just before midnight on Thursday, police stopped to check a broken down 1998 Ford extended cab on Circle Drive.

Twenty-five-year-old Alexander Holdner was found dead inside the vehicle.

An autopsy performed yesterday determined the cause of Holdner’s death to be a homicide.

Police aren’t saying how he was killed.

Holdner, formerly of Young, Sask., had recently moved to the city and also went by the name A.J.

The vehicle had lost its rear driver’s side wheel and was parked on northbound Circle Drive just south of 11th Street West.

Major crimes continues to investigate.
