MONTREAL – Police are investigating three separate violent attacks in downtown Montreal in the early hours of Friday morning.
The first attack. which took place along Crescent St., occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m.
A young man was found by a passerby, seriously wounded after being stabbed in the upper body.
He was transported to hospital and is expected to survive.
Police have arrested and and are questioning a young man in his twenties.
The second stabbing occured at around 2:40 a.m. at an establishment on Peel St. near Dorchester Square.
During an altercation between several people, a 24-year-old woman was stabbed in the upper body.

She was taken to hospital and is expected to survive, although her injuries are considered serious.
Police have arrested and are questioning four suspects, one of whom is a minor.
The third incident also took place during a fight outside of a bar in the Plateau.
A young man in his twenties was transported to hospital after being badly beaten on St. Laurent near Villeneuve at around 3 a.m.
He is also expected to live.
Police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
