The movie re-teams Nolan with his The Dark Knight Rises stars Hathaway and Caine.

Cameras are scheduled to roll in and around Calgary — including the town of Okotoks — from August 6 to September 9.

The movie is due to open in cinemas on November 7, 2014.

Interstellar will be a return to Alberta for Hathaway, who starred in Brokeback Mountain.

Scenes for Nolan’s 2010 movie Inception were filmed at Kananaskis Village.
