WINNIPEG – Country band Doc Walker will perform a free show at the Lyric Theatre in Assiniboine Park on Friday evening.
The Manitoba band has won 11 Canadian Country Music Awards, including Album, Single and Songwriters of the Year for the 2008 release Beautiful Life and the Fan’s Choice Award the same year.

Doc Walker also won the Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year in 2011
The show, part of the park’s summer entertainment series, will start at 8:30 p.m.
