Mayor Pat Fiacco made good on his Grey Cup bet Thursday by wearing the Montreal Alouettes jersey and raising the city of Montreal’s flag at Regina city hall.
The two mayors made the wager prior to the Als beating the Riders in this year’s Grey Cup.
“I was really excited about the summit till I was told that Mayor Tremblay wanted to have the exchange and ceremony,” Fiacco said
Also as part of the bet Mayor Fiacco has to purchase two sets of Al’s season tickets and donate them to charity.
For Rider fans in the province though, Mayor Tremblay admitted that the Als may have got a bit lucky on their 2009 Grey Cup win.
