Skytrain resumes normal operation after 2 1/2 hour disruption

Skytrain delays at 29th Avenue station. C-bert McCurdy, Global News

Skytrain has returned to normal service after a switching problem caused service disruptions for two-and-half hours Tuesday.

Translink says a switching problem was to blame. For several hours, no trains were running between 29th Avenue station in Vancouver and Royal Oak station in Burnaby, including the busy Metrotown station.

Translink had set up a bus bridge between the two stations, however, several viewers told Global News that there were lots of confused commuters.
