One Direction concert goes ahead after flooding

TORONTO — Tuesday night’s concert by British boy band One Direction has not been impacted by Monday’s flooding in downtown Toronto.

“The show is still on!,” reads a message on Twitter from the Air Canada Centre. “Though due to the extensive rain, please allow yourself extra time to get to the venue.”

The group is scheduled to perform sold-out concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday at the ACC.

“Toronto u ready? Get the pints ready?,” tweeted One Direction’s Niall Horan.

Added member Louis Tomlinson: “Can’t wait for the show!”

The group performed Monday night in Pittsburgh.

One Direction performed July 4 in Montreal and has only one more Canadian date scheduled — July 27 in Vancouver.
